The CFP Exam is a six-hour exam made up of constructed response and multiple-choice questions.

Candidates must have completed the Core & Advanced Curricula, Introduction to Professional Ethics (IPE), and CFP® Professional Education Program (PEP); please be aware of registration and transcript deadlines here.

Registration for the CFP Exam or IPE/PEP must be completed separately with FP Canada here.

The QAFP Exam is a four-hour exam made up of multiple-choice questions.

Candidates must have completed the Core Curriculum and Introduction to Professional Ethics (IPE); please be aware of registration and transcript deadlines here.

A Professional Education Program (PEP) must be completed within one year of the QAFP Exam, but candidates may choose to complete before the exam.
